What is TCNJ MAPS all about?
TCNJ's Minority Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS) is all about working together and pooling resources to help you get into the health profession that best matches your personal goals and interests. You certainly do not need to be one of the recognized minorities in the medical professions to enjoy our events, discounts and company! We try to invite as many diverse speakers as possible: medical school admissions officers, summer program officials, physician's assistants, nursing school admissions officers, optometry school admissions officers, test preparation representatives, etc. However, if there is a speaker you are particularly interested in, tell us! We also offer the following benefits to our members: annual panels of medical students and doctors, access to regional and/or national conferences, medical school trips, mentorship through medical students, shadowing with doctors, discounts with popular test preparation companies, and facilitating access to community service. Our executive board is extremely accessible and our organization in general fosters comraderie and friendship. Drop by and check it out for yourself! We usually meet in BIO 208 on Wednesdays at 12:15 pm, though you will find more accurate information about our latest events here. We hope you join us =).
